To install Black and White Windows Media Player 11
1. Take ownership of « C:\Windows\System32\wmploc.DLL »:
a. Right click on the file, select « properties »
b. From the new window, select the « security » tab and click on « Advanced » button
c. Now, choose « owner » tab and select « edit ».
d. Now you select the User Account you want to give the permission to. Then click Apply. A message will pop up telling you that if you have just taken ownership you have to close and reopen the objects properties before you can view or change properties again. Click okay and get back to the Computer screen. You should now have full authority to do what you wish with that file.
e. Go back to the « security » tab of the « properties » window.
f. Select « Modify » and allow your user account to have a total control (check all the boxes).
2. Rename « C:\Windows\System32\wmploc.DLL » to wmploc.old or wmploc.bak
3. Extract the « wmploc.DLL » of this archive in « C:\Windows\System32\ »
4. Launch WMP 11 and see the changes!
